About Brewer's Alley Restaurant & Brewery

Brewer’s Alley, Frederick’s first brewpub, proudly makes its home in one of the city’s earliest and most important structures. Originally constructed in 1869, our historical location housed Frederick’s first Town Hall and Market House for more than 100 years. As Frederick grew and prospered in the 20th century, the building functioned as government offices, then an opera house and theatre. Brewer’s Alley continues our efforts to preserve the architecture of this fine building; a vital link to Frederick’s past. Our event spaces pay homage to our historical past. Located on the second floor, The Mayor’s Office - which actually once functioned as the office of the Mayor of Frederick - accommodates groups of 15 to 60 guests. The adjoining Booking Room - historically a holding cell for some of our city’s shadier characters - accommodates 12 to 45 guests. Each room is decorated in period style with portraits of city fathers and early Frederick families adorning the walls. A full-service bar is available. Rooms can be booked independently, or the entire site can be reserved for larger parties.
