Steve D'Agostino, Trumbull — Although I grew up listening to the music of my time rock, motown,& disco, when it came to singing, I always found myself drawn to the beauty, elegance, class, romance, wit and power of standards. I find this music to be a much more intelligent and sophisticated expression of life and the human condition. Great composers like Cole Porter, Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn—giants in their field—created great works of art with lasting value. I derive great pleasure performing this music and sharing America’s classic popular songbook with audiences everywhere!
