For everyone except natives, Silverthorne Pavilion is a hidden gem - a beautiful, recently-constructed (2001) event site in the middle of Colorado's famous ski country. Surrounded by snowcapped peaks that can hold their snow well into the summer months, Silverthorne makes a beautiful backdrop for the outdoorsy types who prefer to celebrate the happiest day of their lives under one of Colorado's 300+ days of sunshine. The grounds can easily accommodate a lawn wedding of 100-200 in front of the creek and the pavilion hall has a patio with a giant outdoor fireplace to set the ambiance for the reception. Inside, there are rooms for bridesmaids to prep and children to be looked after, and the main hall has a balcony around it for great shots of the dancing from above. The exposed beams, high ceilings, and rustic light fixtures give the pavilion a chic modern spin on the classic mountain lodge. Silverthorne Pavilion is an ideal setting for an outdoor wedding with real Rocky Mountain charm.
