 7/22/2008 | | "Limo didn't show up, horrible customer service", An Eventective User from Thornton, Colorado | We used Royal Express for our June wedding. We selected them because they offered a package that best suited our needs, which included several transfers.
I called them a week before the event to confirm all of the pickup and dropoff locations and finalize all details. Everything was set, but I ended up calling again the day before the event to confirm the credit card information we had provided to hold the reservation. At that point, everything appeared to be set.
The day of the wedding, the limos never showed up for the two original transfers. When I called to find out what was going on, I was given some story about the driver going to the wrong location and getting angry at them, and how the limo was now missing with the driver not answering their calls. They asked that I call back in a few minutes to check on the status if the limo had still not arrived. I called back after 15 minutes to let them know that no limo had shown up, and to ask about the status. The guy on the phone stated that they had no update, and then rudely added that they weren't likely to get one if we kept tying up the phone lines by calling them. I asked if we could expect the limo to show up for the hourly service after the reception (This was to be an entirely different limo). He replied that he doubted it.
After that, I didn't expect to see any limos from this company, and sure enough, nothing showed up after the reception, or for either of the airport transfers. Fortunately we have great friends and family that filled in on the transportation end, and the rest of the day was perfect. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone who actually needs to get where they’re planning to go. At this point I’d be surprised to find out that they actually do have limos.
