Butterfly Pavilion is a unique location for corporate and social events alike, from conferences, meetings, retreats and seminars to weddings, bat/bar mitzvahs, milestone birthdays and graduations, celebrations of life, holiday parties and quinceañeras. Our gorgeous and versatile event venue is a short fifteen-minute drive from downtown Denver, and feels like a world away. Enjoy the lush, tropical rainforest conservatory with 1,600 free-flying, exotic butterflies. The indoor, educational, Colorado-themed playground, Water's Edge and Survival exhibits and private event rooms are programmable and fun! The spacious Monarch Hall with kitchen looks onto the vibrant Discovery Gardens featuring a large Garden Terrace, two gazebos, two ponds and an amphitheater near a clear, active creek. These scenic gardens can also be programmed to host your event. Our Exclusive & Preferred Vendors can help you achieve the ambiance you envision with catering, beverages, rental linens, lighting and other event décor.

Discovery Gardens: Enjoy the look and feel of an English garden complete with a babbling brook, lily pad pond, a variety of seasonal flowers, lush foliage, two (2) gazebos, and an amphitheater. The charm of the floral landscape is breathtaking, and a multitude of seasonally-changing blossoms provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor garden events. Garden Terrace: 56’ x 42’ – 2,352 sq ft This large concrete patio features two (2) fire pits and is the perfect spot for events under the stars. This area is open for tents and adds ambient lighting effects. Dragonfly Gazebo: Our large gazebo offers couples a secluded, garden-like setting surrounded by lush foliage. Flattering filtered light for early evening events and illuminated lighting areas are available. This gorgeous setting is perfect for your wedding nuptials or tables for your guests to enjoy. Lily Pad Gazebo: Our small gazebo is the perfect size for the twosome that have decided to forego the wedding party! With enough room for the happy couple and officiant, this setup with the garden terrace - still seats 150 comfortably with the beautiful landscape of Jefferson County Open Space as a backdrop. Amphitheater: Deeply nestled among the lush scenery, this enchanting area is perfect for team-building meetings, weddings, memorial celebrations, and social events. The amphitheater seats 70 comfortably and is accessed by patrons on foot or by wheelchair along compact gravel paved paths.

Wings of the Tropics Conservatory: Our 7,200 square-foot tropical forest is home to 1,600 butterflies worldwide and displays 200 plant species. The tropical climate makes it perfect for ceremony gatherings. Please note that the conservatory is darker in the evenings from November to mid-March with the time change. Additional lighting options are added to enhance your event experience.
