Starting with the “Face of MoAD,” a three-story high mosaic composed of over 2,100 individual images and stories from throughout the Diaspora, MoAD is the only place to experience the important artistic expressions, the many journeys traveled, and the enormous cultural contributions made by people of the African Diaspora. Your special event will be set in a rare environment of vibrant colors, inspired original films and music that celebrates the contributions, global influences and cultural cross-pollinations of the Africa Diaspora. At MoAD, guests are free to discover MoAD alone or on a guided tour of galleries and interactive exhibits that provide a unique background like none other. MoAD has five permanent exhibits that may be viewed during your private event: Celebrations, Culinary Traditions, Adornment, Slavery Passages and the Freedom Theater. Blending art and innovative technology, MoAD encourages us to look afresh at what it means to be African. The museum is available for private rentals for corporate and nonprofit social events. The MoAD Salon seats up to 70 guests at rounds of ten for sit down dinners, 160 for a standing reception. As many as 250 guests can be accommodated for a standing reception throughout the museum. MoAD is available all day Monday and Tuesday and after 6 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday, on a space available basis.

Studio 333 is a full service event gallery that has over 4,000 sq. ft. of event space with 30 ft. high ceilings, dance floor, pool table, lounge rooms, stage, tables/chairs, bar, coolers, ½ kitchen, garden area and large monitor with projector. We also offer in house catering, DJ and a professional photographer available at reasonable rates. You are welcome to bring in your own catering, photographer and band. Clients have also hired "Food Trucks" in the past to set up in the garden area. The gallery can seat 150 guests for a sit down dinner and over 200 people for a buffet style dinner or cocktail party. Studio 333 staff members must be hired to work the event as bartenders/clean up crew an on site coordinator. You are welcome to drop off alcohol and other party supplies a day or two in advance so it makes your life easier on the day of your event.
