 It's your wedding and you can dance if you want to! This is something to keep in mind when it comes to hiring the right San Diego DJs or disc jockeys for your event. A wedding is hopefully a one-time event. Thus, you need to make sure that you really choose the right DJ for the job.
It is important to know the kind of music you want at your wedding. This is your event. If you hate jazz, then make this known when you talk to disc jockeys. Ask them if they are open to playing not just your requests but also the requests of your guests. Additionally, explain how the reception will flow, what you will need from them in terms of planned dances and their music, and what your expectations are regarding the event and its music. When talking to various San Diego DJs, take the time to task about their set-up time and needs. Some DJs may need only a few minutes to set up whereas others may want to run sound checks and have a lot of equipment to carry into the venue. Thus, collaborate with the DJs to see what their needs are, whether or not the chosen venue can accommodate these needs, and the length of time needed for proper set-up.
Be sure to inquire about rates, too. San Diego DJs that are used to performing at parties and weddings may offer you a flat fee for a night of dancing whereas others may charge by the hour. Ask about all of their pricing plans and whether or not they require a deposit to secure your wedding date. This will help you choose the right plan and DJ for your event and for your budget.
Trust your judgment when it comes to which DJ to hire for your event. This is your wedding day. Don't feel as if you have to settle when it comes to the music. You can have your cake and eat it too on this day. There are many San Diego DJs out there. Do your research and meet with different options, and you will soon find the one that is best for your big day.
