I began playing guitar at the age of 13 and graduated from the University of North Texas in 1997 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition and a concentration in Classical Guitar. Being a classical guitarist has been a passion of mine for over 25 years and I perform at special events such as weddings, fundraisers, receptions, and parties. It’s very rewarding to play guitar for people, and I enjoy being a part of such happy and joyful occasions. Also, to fill my time I have played at many coffee shops, bars, artisan markets and restaurants. The music I play provides an elegant and classy atmosphere for all types of events. If you choose to hire me, I will also bring my own amplification and microphones.
My specialty is performing Latin American classical guitar works from Leo Brouwer, Agustin Lara, Barrios, Piazzolla and many more. However, my classic guitar repertoire spans the ages from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary pieces. I particularly enjoy playing music by Bach and Spanish guitar pieces. Additionally, I enjoy singing many popular Mexican ballads, Rock en Español and English pop songs. Every once in a while, I even write my own songs.
