 9/29/2011 | | "Hyde--A For a Night to Remember in LA", An Eventective User from Los Angeles, CA | | I went to Hyde Lounge for a friend's birthday party. It was a great time, and you definitely get a quintessential "night in LA" vibe when you are there. On the outside of the club, there is a large pair of mysterious eyes that look at you as you walk in. For such a renowned club, it is a very small venue. It is kept very dark, and is also very loud, with both the music and people trying to yell over each other. You feel almost like you're in a small tunnel. I would not suggest coming here unless you have bottle service, which goes for more than 1,000 dollars. When you're ordering bottle service, you get very good service--the waitresses/bar girls are attentive (and attractive), and you get special treatment. Every time a new bottle is ordered, it comes out on a tray with a giant sparkler. At random times in the night, money literally rains from the ceiling (even if it's just one dollar bills). I would recommend this place for an outing in a big group. If you were in a smaller group, it would be hard to meet/talk to people that you don't know, since the venue is so loud and dark! The club can get crowded, and it's pretty exclusive to get in. I would recommend contacting the club beforehand about making a reservation so you aren't stuck in line outside. The venue is also available for outside parties to rent out for a night. This might also be a better fit for an event, as its pretty easy to fill up such a small space. I would recommend this venue, but only if you have the $$$$ to spend. |
