The Hi-Desert Cultural Center is a multi-theatre complex founded in 1967 and has been the major force in promoting the cultural arts in the Morongo Basin. Through professional performances in music, drama, and dance, the Center is on the cutting-edge in multi-media sound, CGI video, and lighting technologies - blending the cinematic experience with the thrill of live performance. The Center is home to the historic Kaye Ballard Playhouse and the state-of-the-art Palmer Performance Hall & Blak Box Theatre.
The Center produces major theatrical productions, concerts, large community festivals, a community philharmonic and is a leader in advanced education as YAMAHA’s West Coast Internet Remote Learning Arts Center.
