Fresno Chaffee Zoo we provide a fun, unique up-close experience that strengthens the bond between people and wildlife. Fresno Chaffee Zoo is home to approximately 125 species, with more always on the way. We are the only zoo in North America that currently houses Northland green geckos and Southern tent tortoises. Fresno Chaffee Zoo is also a home to 18 species that are part of the Species Survival Plan, or SSP, a program created by AZA member zoos to systematically develop breeding management strategies to help protect some of the planet's rarest animals. Fresno Chaffee Zoo offers group rates for educational groups and private party groups. The Zoo is a great location for corporate parties and group events of all kinds. Our Events Department is trained to take you through all the planning stages to ensure that you have a successful and memorable event, whether it is a casual picnic or a black-tie affair. Every event is customized to meet your needs and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
