Olive Hyde Art Gallery

The Olive Hyde Gallery is the only public fine arts gallery in the east San Francisco Bay Area between Hayward and San Jose. The gallery is a scenic historical redwood building surrounded by a beautiful garden and art center. The gallery has about 1,000 square feet and 200 running wall feet of exhibit space. There are three separate galleries and we typically show the work of two or three within a related theme at one time. Our goal is to support and bring the work of local and Contemporary Bay Area emerging artists to the Fremont community. We are located in the Fremont foothills, directly across from the historic Mission San Jose and one block away from the Ohlone College. Within each annual Exhibition Calendar, the Olive Hyde Art Gallery exhibits work in various show formats or themes that include both local self- taught artists to professional bay area and nationally recognized artists. The depth of range of work exhibited spans from traditional to contemporary, giving the community a chance to not only see the artwork and ways of creating art that they are already familiar with, but also allows the community to see and understand art being made and exhibited in the larger more contemporary context of the ever changing and exciting Bay Area contemporary art culture.
