I recently used Stage II Design and Production to provide staging and technical support for a small business event in the Oakland area. I was unsure of which vendor I should use for this type of event as I'd never before planned a medium-scale outdoor concert for about 250 people. After hearing a recommendation from a friend I decided to contact Stage II. Everyone I dealt with at Stage II was courteous, polite, and efficient. No question I had went unanswered and they were more than willing to walk me through the process of putting together a medium-scale event. After determining my needs for the event it was suggested that we plan on hiring a crew of 4 for a typical A/V concert setup. I paid for half of the costs up front, which is typical of most staging companies and upon completion of service would pay the other half. They team showed up with a truck full of equipment including lights, mixing boards, the stage itself, and the crew. They were all set up in about 2 hours, and the band proceeded to do a sound check. I had complete confidence in the crew and Stage II. Later in the evening it started to rain a little, but they were prepared for that as well. Tarps were pulled out and covered the valuable equipment with little disruption to the event. Overall, I'd say my impression was entirely positive. I don't have any complaints about the service I revived and would gladly recommend this company to another person. Stage II also does larger scale events, as they have a large ""on call"" crew in the San Francisco Bay Area. I wouldn't hesitate to call again!
