 8/11/2011 | | "Our Getting Hitched Went Off Without A Hitch!", An Eventective User from Halifax, NS, Canada | We were on the fence between hiring a proper wedding DJ or a professional service. We eventually decided to spend the money and have a pro take care of our needs.
We were very glad we did. After canvassing a few local businesses on the web, True North was the first ones to get back to us and were extremely quick on subsequent followups as well. We eventually settled on them as our DJ after some painless discussions about budgeting and availability.
Their owner (Scott) met with us personally and was happy to see that we had a very precise plan regarding the services we needed from him and was happy to accomodate our wishes regarding setup and music choices. He was very experienced and was also able to make some suggestions regarding our venue (where he had personally DJed several weddings), which were greatly appreciated.
Come wedding day the DJ that Scott provided was courteous, professional and exactly what we wanted. He played all the right tunes at all the right times, setup on schedule and did the tear-down as well.
Many friends who were at our wedding went on to plan their own weddings and when they asked us for advice they were surprised at the relatively low cost tha True North provided their services for our wedding.
Several of them agreed that the price paid to ensure no surprises or unwanted glitches during the wedding and the reception was a very good bargain indeed.
